Cate’s starting singles players were more than Lompoc could handle in Wednesday’s first-round CIF match as the Rams posted a 14-4 victory in the Division 4 playoff.
Mady Snider, Marina Narain and McKenna Madden combined to win eight sets without a loss for Cate.
“All three girls are hitting their stride at the season’s close,” reported Rams head coach Barbara DeGroot.
In doubles, Cate’s Kate Dehlendorf and Victoria Herman swept three sets.
The Condor League champion Rams will face another league champion, Redlands of the Cirtus Belt League, in Friday’s second round.
