Carpinteria tennis extends streak to 15 matches

Carpinteria’s girls tennis team took claimed another victory on Tuesday, extending its season-opening win streak to 15 matches.

The Warriors topped Santa Paula 16-2 in a Frontier League match.

“The first round was quite competitive but after we swept that round it took the air out of their sails and the next two rounds went rather quickly,” said Warriors head coach Charles Bryant.

The doubles teams of Erin Saito-Lesly Zapata and Natalie Saito-Gabi Montes De Oca were near invincible. The two teams were 6-0 in sets, winning by a combined games score of 36-2.
