Carpinteria won the singles and doubles titles at the Frontier League tennis finals on Thursday at Villanova.
In singles, Kelsie Bryant successfully defended her title by beating teammate Kassandra Ni 6-0, 6-0. The same two played in last year’s final.
Bryant blanked Julianna Adelman of Nordhoff in the semifinals, while Ni swept Bishop Diego’s Meredith Amspoker also by scores of 6-0, 6-0.
The Warriors’ doubles team of Erin Saito and Lesly Zapata got a little revenge in the semifinals, beating Nordhoff’s Inga Parkel and Amanda Rhodes, 6-0, 6-2. They suffered their only loss of the season against the Rangers.
Carpinteria’s Natalie Saito and Cat Maldonado fell in the semifinals to Santa Paula’s Dominique Fuentes-Zionee Lee, 6-3, 6-0.
Erin Saito-Zapata defeated Fuentes-Lee in the final, 6-2, 6-2.
Natalie Saito-Maldonado won the third-place match over Nordhoff, 7-6 (5), 4-6, 6-3.
Bryant and Ni and the championship doubles team will represent Carpinteria at the CIF Sectionals on Nov. 19.
