Emily Banas had seven kills in the morning match and eight in the afternoon on Saturday as SBCC was swept 3-0 by a pair of Orange Empire women’s volleyball teams at the Fullerton Quad.
Fullerton, ranked 13th in the state, downed the 19th-ranked Vaqueros 25-13, 25-16, 25-19 while No. 8 Golden West beat SBCC 25-16, 25-19, 25-23.
Jasmine Ward had six kills vs. Fullerton and seven against the Rustlers.
Bianca Castro contributed five kills against Golden West, Mackenzie Mexico had 10 digs and Ari Garner set a solid match, according to coach Ed Gover.
The Vaqueros (2-4) will play 13 of their first 14 matches on the road.
They make their home debut on Wednesday against Bakersfield at 6 p.m
