The doubles team of Cami Thompson and Yue Cui won two sets for Bishop Diego in a 15-3 girls tennis loss to Santa Paula on Thursday.
Thompson-Cui scored wins of 6-3, 6-0. In singles, Emilee Krablin scored a 7-6 (7-5) singles win for the Cardinals other victory.
Coach Suzanne Petrie noted the play of Briana Friden who gave a strong effort in a 6-7 (5-7) defeat.
“There long matches in singles. It was a great sustained effort, very good competitors,” said Petrie.
