Kristen Berlo was a force in the middle and Katie Kim delivered on the outside to lead the San Marcos girls volleyball team to a four-set win over visiting Hart on Thursday night.
The set scores were 25-18, 22-25, 25-22, 25-23.
Berlo pounded 19 kills on 29 attempts with only two hitting errors. Kim contributed 13 kills and served three aces. Berlo was huge in the third set, putting down eight kills in nine attempts.
Anastasia Kunz and Emily Allen carried the offensive load in the fourth set with five and four kills, respectively. The Royals improve to 3-0.
