Providence Hall spikers win first match

Providence Hall won its first girls volleyball match of the season, beating Fillmore 26-24, 25-7, 26-24, on Tuesday night.

Ozie LeSage led a balanced attack with seven kills. Olivia Barroca added four kills. Lacy Gonzalez served three aces and had a 10-point serving run to start the second game. Maddie Niessen picked up six digs.

The Lions (1-2) return to the court Friday at Valley Christian in Santa Maria.
