Santa Barbara’s High’s girls tennis team defeated Westlake on Friday 11-7.
Summer Garrison went 3-0 in singles for the Dons while their top doubles team of Madison Hale and Megan Grant swept their sets as well. Lisa Santry and Karina Thornton won two of three sets for the defending CIF champions.
Mattea Kilstofte and Lexi Gulden both added singles wins. Kaitlyn Rodnick and Kelli Martindale also claimed a point for the Dons.
Santa Barbara improves to 5-2 after a busy season-opening week that included a trip to Fresno for the California Tennis Classic.
“For us, I consider we had some pretty astounding performances considering our schedule,” said Dons coach Steve Geremia.
