Whitaker, Stuart win 5k races at final Nite Moves

Nite Moves Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara’s Tom Whitaker cruises through Shoreline Park on his way to victory in Nite Moves’ 5k run.

The final Nite Moves of 2012 was held on Wednesday night as Tom Whitaker and Kate Stuart captured the year’s final victories in the weekly summer 5k run at Shoreline Park.

James Bray completed the swim in 15:16 and went on to win the equation in 37:30. Eric Widmer was a close second at 37:40. Leslie Roth won the women’s aquathon in 42:13.

WEDNESDAY’S RESULTS

Whitaker’s winning time in the 5k run was 18:27. Stuart came in third overall in a time of 18:45.

The 5k run attracted 256 participants.
