Ricky Ho and Cindy Abrami were co-champions of Thursday’s Westmonster 5k, each claiming their second title in three years in “Santa Barbara’s Toughest 5k.”
The Westmonster course winds through the campus of Westmont and features one especially unforgiving uphill stretch.
Ho’s winning time was 17 minutes and 29 seconds. Abrami was 11th overall with a time of 19:43.
Thursday’s race was the third annual Westmontster 5k, which acts as a fundraiser for the Warriors’ athletic department and a community outreach event for the school.
