Stewart Reid outdid Evan Morrison in Reef and Run’s one-mile ocean swim on Thursday, coming in alone in a time of 19 minutes and nine seconds.
Morrison, the winner of the recent Semana Nautica 3-mile and 6-mile races, finished second in 20.02.
Greg Gaitan, Jim West and Neil Wood rounded out the top-five.
Whitney Bruce captured the women’s race in 23.43.
Ben Brewer enjoyed a two-minute margin of victory in the 1000-meter swim. His time of 11.59 bested second-place finisher Chris Russo. Isabel Dickinson won the women’s race and was third overall.
Twelve-year-old Sevi Martin won the 500-meter distance, clocking in at 8 minutes and seventeen seconds. Doug Eynch, 58, finished second ahead of Kelly Brewer.
