Clark sparks U.S. to Pan Am Cup championship

The championships keep on coming for Santa Barbara?s Carson Clark.

Clark led a young U.S. Men?s National Volleyball Team to the gold medal at the Pan American Cup in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on Saturday. The Americans swept Argentina 29-27, 25-20, 25-11 in the title match.

Two months ago, Clark led UC Irvine to the NCAA Championship.

Clark led all scorers in the final with 19 points on a match-high 18 kills. He hit an impressive .517.

Also on the gold medal-winning squad was UCSB?s Dylan Davis.

The U.S. went 5-0 in winning the tournament for the fifth time.

Taylor Sander, of BYU, was named the tournament?s MVP, USC?s Tony Ciarelli was honored as the Best Attacker and Long Beach State?s Dustin Warren earned Best Defense honors.
