Williams pitches Cardinals to 10th straight

Bishop Diego won its 10th straight game on Tuesday in a 7-1 Frontier League win over Fillmore.

The league-champion Cardinals (17-3, 10-1), ranked No. 3 in Division 6, finish up their regular season on Thursday at home vs. Fillmore.

Aidan Williams pitched a complete game to get the Cardinals their 17th win and was 1-for-3 at the plate. Williams, a sophomore, is 5-1 on the mound this season.

Catcher John Salda reached base four times and recorded two hits, an RBI and run scored. Jacob Salcedo went 2-for-4 as the only other Cardinal with multiple hits.

Sam Kwock had just one hit but reached base three times and stole three bases.

JD Yonke, one of four seniors on the team, will pitch for the Cardinals on their senior day. First pitch is 3:30 on Thursday at Bishop Diego.
