Chargers speed past Ventura

Dos Pueblos’ swim teams swept Ventura on Thursday in Channel League dual-meets. The girls won 115-68 and the boys 117-66.

“This was one of the fastest duel meets that I have been a part of in the last ten years.  We had almost everyone swimming for the boys varsity post at least one personal record,” said Chargers boys coach Chris Parrish.

Lester Wright, Tanner Neal, and Derek Simons started the Charger boys off with a sweep of the diving competition.

“The final score in not indicative of how fast Ventura is rather how the momentum of the diving through the first three events carried us on to victory,” Parrish said.

“Overall a very strong meet with a lot of great swims,” said girls coach Kevin Kuga.

Dos Pueblos swims at Buena next Tuesday in their final league meet before the Channel League Championships.
