Chargers keep quiet in loss to Righetti

Colin Cole pitched seven solid innings for Dos Pueblos on Wednesday, but Righetti still got the upper-hand on the Chargers in a 3-0 non-league win for the Warriors.

“We were unable to provide any run support today,” explained Chargers head coach Nate Mendoza.

Dos Pueblos’ lineup produced a season-low four hits.

The loss drops the Chargers to 16-7 overall, although Dos Pueblos took over sole possession of first-place in the Channel League by virtue of a loss by Buena to Santa Barbara on Wednesday in a rain make-up.

Righetti holds an overall record of 13-7.

The DP-Righetti matchup was also a rain make-up from earlier in the season.

The Chargers travel to Santa Barbara for their next game on Friday.
