Balanced attack guarantees Chargers second in Channel League

Solid offensive performaces from several players on the Dos Pueblos boys volleyball team led a victory in consecutive sets, and the Chargers are now guaranteed to finish in second place or higher in the Channel League.

The game scores were 25-19, 25-18 and 25-17.

“We passed excellently and played very disciplined defense,” head coach Chris Hughes said.

Matt Sessler was one of several Chargers with impressive performances and finsihed with three kills. Jordan Foster also turned in three kills and added two blocks while Cameron Fry had two blocks and two kills on two attempts.

“It was good to take care of business,” Hughes said. “The team is starting to gel really nicely, and it’s a good time to gel.”

Dos Pueblos (12-11) improved to 5-1 in the Channel League with the victory, setting up a showdown with 7-0 Santa Barbara on Thursday on the road.
