Cate’s 12-6 Condor League win over Laguna Blanca on Wednesday came on the strength of the Rams’ singles play, where they captured eight of nine sets.
Led by sweeps from Blake Mackall and Austin Lokre, Cate also had Alex Erling win a pair of sets.
The four points from doubles were split between the teams of Abhay Singh/Brandan Lokre and Michael Revord/Jack Hoover.
Cate (1-2) plays again on Saturday at Arroyo Grande.
