Presidio Sports will release the Santa Barbara County Super Seven for girls basketball each Monday throughout the league season. It is a way for you to see how our County teams stack up against each other from week to week during the season.
The rankings are not based on a vote, but determined by considering a combination of results, strength of schedule, common opponents, momentum, and a variety of other factors.

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY’S SUPER SEVEN (2/13/2012)
1) Dos Pueblos Chargers (18-10, 3-5 CL) — The Chargers regained their place at the top of the county rankings by defeating Santa Barbara for the third time this season in a one-game league playoff on Friday night that decided which team would be considered the Channel League’s third-place team when playoff brackets were organized. The Chargers received a bye in the first round of Division 2-A and will host a playoff game on Saturday against Righetti.
2) Santa Barbara Dons (14-12, 3-5 CL) — Santa Barbara, which beat Righetti and St. Joseph in the preseason, faces a tough opening CIF matchup. The Dons must travel to Rio Mesa, the No. 4 seed in Division 3-AAA, for a playoff game on Thursday. The Dons beat Dos Pueblos last week on Monday but then lost to the Chargers in a one-game league playoff on Friday. Overall, DP took 3 of 4 from the Dons this season.
3) St. Joseph Knights (9-17, 7-5 P7) — Despite tying Righetti for third-place in the Pac-7 League, the Knights come in ahead of the Warriors based on their victory in the last head-to-head meeting between the two teams. St. Joseph closed out the regular season winning 4 of their last 6 and will be traveling to Sierra Canyon for its playoff opener on Thursday.
4) Righetti Warriors (14-11, 7-5 P7) — The Warriors won three of their last four regular season games to finish third in the Pac-7 League.
5) Providence Hall Lions (13-6) — The Lions are the second seed in Division 6 after a strong regular season. The Lions had two 30-point scorers in their final week before playoffs, with Sydney Hedges and Faith Emerson reaching the 30-point level in different games.
6) Village Christian Academy Lions (14-1, 12-0 CVL) — Village Christian remained unbeaten in the Coast Valley League and cruised to a 12-0 record in league play. The Lions enter the Division 6 playoff as the No. 3 seed and received a bye into the second round.
7) Carpinteria Warriors (12-15, 6-4 FL) — Carpinteria has gotten stronger as the season has progressed. After starting Frontier League with a 1-3 record, the Warriors turned it around to finish with a 6-4 record. They travel to St. Bonaventure to open CIF.
