PHOTO GALLERY INTRO: San Marcos’ 55-40 victory over Dos Pueblos on Wednesday night completed a three-game sweep for the Royals over the Chargers in Channel League play this season.

San Marcos built its lead after each of the first three quarters, and led 41-24 going into the fourth quarter. Dos Pueblos held its own in the final period and made a run, but it was a case of too little, too late.

San Marcos' Paxton Ridgway led this fast break expertly in the first half. The Royals transition game helped them get to the free throw line, where they made 17 of 19 attempts.

Cruz Mertens and the Chargers fell behind by as many as 19 in the third quarter before trimming the lead some.

Chris Williams turns the corner and gets into the lane for Dos Pueblos. Williams fouled out and was whistled for a technical foul in second half.
