Carpinteria’s girls water polo team recorded a 9-1 Tri-Valley League victory on Monday, its second win over Oaks Christian in eight days.
The Warriors are now 6-1 in league play.
“We’re playing with a lot of confidence right now,” said Warriors head coach Bryan Swarm.
Carpinteria defeated the Lions last Monday 8-4 and increased the margin to 9-1 this afternoon.
Vanessa Vega blocked nine shots in goal and led a defensive effort that only allowed one goal in the second quarter.
Hope Grant’s four goals led all scorers, while Tatiana Verdugo and Maddie Brooks added two more each. Morgan Cook also scored for Carpinteria, which is 15-9 overall.
Carpinteria has three regular season games remaining on its schedule. Cate is up first on Wednesday.
