Seven different Royals found the scoring column on Tuesday in San Marcos’ 17-11 non-league victory over visiting Royal.
Hannah Koper’s five goals were a team-high, while Hailie Johnson had four and Riley Heiduk three. Hannah Turk and Frannie Kuesis recorded two each and Ashley Wagner and Miranda Day chipped in one each.
“I thought we played fine. Defensively I thought we played pretty good team defense,” said Royals head coach Brian Roth. “I thought our defense was better than our offense.”
“We were in control the whole time.”
Roth said Heiduk had a great day along with Miranda Day.
San Marcos resumes Channel League competition on Thursday when the Royals travel to Buena for a key league game.
