The San Marcos girls water polo team earned its first win in the Channel League with a convincing 13-3 result over Buena on the road.
San Marcos is now 1-2 in league play, as it lost two tough matches against Santa Barbara and Dos Pueblos.
San Marcos played a grueling preseason against some of the toughest competition California has to offer, and improved to 5-8 overall on the season with its victory over Buena.
The Royals will continue league play at home on Tuesday in a rematch with Dos Pueblos.
