Cate’s Annie Weis scored her third goal on Friday in the 86th minute, lifting the Rams’ girls soccer team to a 4-3 triumph over Fillmore as part of the Grace Brethren Tournament.
Weis scored twice in the first half to give Cate a 2-0 lead at the break, but Fillmore was quick to come back early in the second half.
Sophomore Fernanda Pett allowed Cate to regain the lead at 3-2 until the Flashes equalized yet again.
Before Emily Nguyen assisted on Weis’ game-winner, goalie Eliza Giles made a tough save to preserve the tie.
