White collects 18 in Royals’ season debut

Thayer White’s 18 points and six rebounds highlighted San Marcos’ season-opening 71-35 victory over Monroe on Monday.

White connected on 8-of-his-10 field-goal attempts.

“He has a motor, he doesn’t quit,” said Royals head coach Jarrod Bradley. “He’s just relentless.”

Chad Ridenour contributed all over the court, collecting six points, four assists, three steals and four rebounds.

San Marcos (1-0) has its home opener on Tuesday in the Thunderhut against Arroyo Grande.
