The Wolverines (13-5-3) are the defending state champions and upset top-ranked and previously unbeaten Cerritos 1-0 in their last game on Nov. 11. San Bernardino took fourth in the Foothill Conference with a 6-3-3 record.

The Vaqueros have outscored their opponents 70-10 while the Wolverines have a 52-21 advantage.

SBCC sophomore Jessica Domenichelli is the No. 2 scorer in the state (27 goals, 10 assists) and was voted MVP of the WSC North. Katie Voss is No. 7 on the state chart with 16 goals and 16 assists.

“San Bernardino is a tough team but we’ve played tough teams before,” said Vaquero coach John Sisterson, who was named WSC men’s and women’s Coach of the Year. “We’ve only lost two games, so we’ve got every reason to be confident.”
