DP’s Fernandez, Zerrenner place 11th at CIF Finals

Dos Pueblos runners Bryan Fernandez and Addi Zerrenner both finished 11th in their respective Division 2 races, and the Charger boys placed 12th in the team competition at the CIF cross country championships on Saturday at Mt. San Antonio College.

Competing as an individual, Zerrenner ran the hilly 3-mile course in 17:41. The time was the 18th fastest of all divisions.

Fernandez ran 15:22 (39th fastest overall) to lead the DP boys. The other Charger runners were Max Davis (46th, 15:59), John Greening (61, 16:14), Cole Smith (79, 16:25), Ben York (81, 16:29), Tyler Bradford (92, 16:39) and Dylan Zukin (107, 16:58).

In Division 5, Laguna Blanca’s Maria Bonser finished 19th in 19:47, and Cate placed 14th in the team race.

Cate runners were Adrian Walsh (37, 20:53), Charlotte Bowles (58th, 21:28), Denali Tiejten (68, 21:45), Jasmine Paz (84, 22:27), Luisa Ilvento (86, 23:39) and Meghan Killea (113, 24:55).
