Dos Pueblos lost key player Sjors Van Alphen to a game ejection midway through the third period and Royal scored with 1:20 to go in the game and held on for a 9-8 non-league win over the Chargers on Friday.
DP drew an ejection with 18 seconds left in the match but it couldn’t get off a shot with a man advantage.
Charger goalie Phillip Bates had a huge game, making 16 blocks against the No. 3 team in Division 4.
Grant Schroeder scored three goals, Blake Parrish added two and Nick Lum, Scott Mahan and Van Alpehn scored one apiece.
Dos Pueblos ends the regular season with a 15-12 record. The Chargers will learn their playoff draw on Sunday.
