Goalie Parker Woodward played a key role in San Marcos’ 15-2 non-league water polo win over Cabrillo on Monday.
Woodward had eight blocks, five assists and four steals.
Spencer Kemp scored four goals to lead a balanced offense. Shane Hauschild had four goals and Keyvan Golizadeh added three.
“I thought we played much better today after a sluggish Saturday at the DeLong Tournament this past weekend,” San Marcos coach Jeff Ashton said. “We were able to establish our counterattack early and play solid defensively for four quarters.”
San Marcos improves to 16-11. The Royals play at Santa Barbara on Tuesday in a Channel League match.
