Watch out for the Warriors right now, they’re red hot.

Tiffan Dimaculangan scored the Warriors' second goal - her first of the season.

Sophie Judd’s second-half goal proved to be the game winner for Westmont’s women’s soccer team on Saturday, giving the Warriors another victory over a ranked opponent in a 3-2 decision over No. 4 Concordia.

Westmont, itself ranked No. 25 with an 8-2 record, was coming off a victory over No. 14 The Master’s and has now won four in a row.

Aolani Rueff opened up the scoring in the first half and Tiffan Dimaculangan gave the Warriors a 2-0 lead early in the second half.

Concordia’s Arianna Vaughn kept the Eagles in the game with a pair of unassisted goals. Vaughn cut the Warriors lead to 2-1 in the 59th minute.

Judd’s goal came in the 68th minute on an assist from Rueff, but Vaughn answered just two minutes later making for some tense play as the Warriors closed out the game, with a pair of yellow cards being handed out in the final ten minutes.

The Warriors can topple another highly ranked team in their next game on Wednesday. Westmont travels to Azusa to take on the No. 3 ranked Cougars. New NAIA rankings will come out on Tuesday.
