Warriors swept after losing consecutive close games

The Carpinteria High girls volleyball team was swept playing away at Santa Paula, but lost all three games by just two points.

The scores in the games were 26-28, 24-26, and 23-25.

Amy Davis led the Warriors with seven kills, and also had three blocks.  Kylie Augerot led the team defensively with 12 digs, and Morgan Wallace had an excellent night serving with four aces.

Carpinteria was missing both its starting setters, Allie Sundara and Lacey Bushey, who missed the match due to illness.  Rubi Briceno and Luna Pate, filled in for their teammates, and played well.

However, without its normal starting lineup, the Warriors were unable to connect as well as usual, and were unable to protect leads and close out games.
