Thacher made its case for being the early Condor League favorite on Saturday, knocking down Laguna Blanca 48-22.
Brandon Bickett and J.T. Aubrey connected for two touchdowns and Logan Elder rushed for the Owls’ third score. Bickett totaled 143 passing and completed 11 of his 23 passing attempts. Aubrey caught three catches on the day for 87 yards.
Laguna Blanca lost playmakers Andrew Vignolo and Joey Eckert early on while the Toads muscled their way to a comfortable halftime lead.
It was the Condor League opener for both teams. The Owls don’t play again for two weeks until facing Dunn.
