Shane Hauschild was named to the All-Tournament team for San Marcos, leading the Royals to a fifth-place finish at the San Luis Obispo Tournament.
San Marcos defeated Crespi 7-3 in the fifth-place game after falling to Campolindo 13-10 and Alhambra 13-9 earlier in the day.
Hauschild tallied four goals against Crespi and went off for seven in the first game versus Campolindo. Hauschild totaled 21 goals in the tournament as well as 16 drawn ejections.
“Overall, I thought this was a very strong performance for us this weekend,” said Royals head coach Jeff Ashton. “We played well all day including the two losses in the morning.”
San Marcos holds a 12-7 record.
