Carpinteria’s Lauren Taira, Zoey Luna and Yvonne Rodriguez qualified for the 18-hole Tri-Valley League championships at a wet and windy River Ridge Golf Course in Oxnard
In Monday’s 9-hole event, Taira shot a 47, Luna a 52 and Rodriguez a 70. It was their first time playing the course.
“I was so impressed with all three girls as they did not complain and had great attitudes. We are excited about Wednesday,” said Carpinteria coach Chris Gahan.
