Bishop Diego sweeps Nordhoff to set up showdown for 3rd place

The Bishop Diego girls volleyball team defeated Nordhoff on the road in straight sets, and will face St. Bonaventure on Tuesday night to decide third place in the Tri-Valley League.

“That’s our goal, lock up third place and get into the playoffs,” head coach Jason Donnelly said.

The Cardinals did everything possible to stay on the right track and beat Nordhoff 25-21, 25-12, and 25-16.

Lauren Underwood led the team with 10 kills, and also contributed seven digs.  Diana Sleep had six kills and four digs, while Nicole Tetherow had 17 assists and nine digs.

Bishop Diego (6-5 league, 8-6 overall) will travel to St. Bonaventure on Tuesday for the most important match of its season.
