Bishop Diego puts up big numbers against St. Bonaventure

The Bishop Diego girls volleyball team swept St. Bonaventure, with several athletes recording eye-popping statistics.

The scores in the sets were 25-12, 25-23, and 25-19.

Nicole Tetherow had an amazing 40 assists on the night, and played well on defense with 10 digs.  Lauren Underwood and Diana Sleep each had 13 kills, while McKenna Hogue added 11 more.

“When we control the ball like we did tonight and we’re able to spread our offense out, then we’re a pretty good team,” head coach Jason Donnelly said.  “I think we showed that tonight.”

Behind all the numbers was libero Madison Ballard, who was the foundation of the excellent service, passing, and defense exhibited by the Cardinals.

Bishop Diego (5-3 overall, 4-3 league) will continue Tri-Valley League competition at Villanova on Tuesday.
