Woodward’s goalkeeping leads Royals past Camarillo

Parker Woodward was a brick wall for the San Marcos water polo team, as he stopped 17 shots to help the Royals beat Camarillo 16-4 in a non-league match on Tuesday.

Woodward did a good job reacting to passes sent into the 2-meter area.

At the offensive end, Keyvan Golizadeh and Spencer Kepp each scored four goals, while Kam Bebb, James Sweeney, Jason Phreaner and Ben Battles tallied two apiece.

San Marcos (2-0) returns to action Thursday with a home match against Carpinteria.
