Strong doubles play gives Bishop Diego first win

The Bishop Diego girls tennis team won their first match of the season 10-8 at Santa Clara behind strong doubles play.

The doubles teams defeated every opponent except one on the way to the momentous victory.

“They felt like, oh, we can do this,” head coach Suzanna Petrie said about her team.

Bishop Diego (1-6 overall, 1-2 league) travels to play Carpinteria in another Frontier League match-up on Tuesday.
