After losing its first round match at the Riverside Invitational, the San Marcos boys water polo team went unbeaten for the rest of the tournament. On Saturday, it defeated Cajon and Sunny Hills with strong play from Shane Hauschild and Kevyan Golizadeh.
The Royals beat Cajon 13-3, then Sunny Hills 11-8. Hauschild had eight goals on the day while Golizadeh had five, but the team also received an excellent tournament performance from Kameron Bebb.
“Shane and Keyvan played steady as usual, but freshman Kameron Bebb has been seeing more and more playing time and really became a solid contributor, scoring four goals on the day and drawing four ejections,” head coach Jeff Ashton said.
After building a four-game win streak at Riverside, San Marcos (8-1) will continue its season at Nipomo on Tuesday.
