The Dos Pueblos High football team had nowhere to run against Lompoc’s defense and was shut out 23-0 on the road.
Dos Pueblos played admirable defense as well, holding the defending CIF Northwest Champions to just 10 points until midway through the fourth quarter.
Joe Valla broke the game open with a 46-yard run deep into Charger territory. Valla then finished the drive with an eight-yard touchdown run.
Valla closed the door on Dos Pueblos a few minutes later with his second score from three yards out.
Lompoc improved to 4-0 while Dos Pueblos dropped to 0-4.
