Killer B’s drop scores to help DP to season low

Macy Broesamle and Bekah Beveridge shot season bests, and Vanesa Villa fired even par, helping Dos Pueblos to a season-low 214 in a Channel League golf win over Buena at a windless Glen Annie Golf  Course on Monday. Buena shot 255.

Broesamle, a freshman, shot 49 to break 50 for the first time and Beveridge broke 40 for the first time with a 39.

“Our team goal before the match was for the girls in the 50’s to go in the 40’s and the girls in the 40’s to go in the 30’s, but mainly for us to try and beat our season best,” DP co-coach Dan Choi said. “We were able to accomplish that goal with just about all the girls shooting their seasons best on this course.”

Dos Pueblos improved to 5-3 and 2-0 in league play. Buena is 0-2 in league.

“They have all been working hard to improve their games, which in many cases have required some tweaks and changes,” Choi said. “Those kinds of changes don’t always result in lower scores right away, but it seems like their hard work is starting to pay off.”

Dos Pueblos 214, Buena 255.
