Santa Barbara tuned up for its weekend tournament with an 11-4 water polo win at Oaks Christian on Tuesday.
Cristian Bridley and Evan Robertson each scored three goals and Preston Schlagel tossed in two as the Dons improved to 2-0. Goalie Gio Goggia shut down the Lions with six saves in the second half.
The Dons open the first Santa Barbara Invitational against Acalanes, the 2010 CIF North Coast Section champions, at noon at the SBHS pool. The 16-team tournament includes several top-rated teams in the CIF-Southern Section, including Division 1 top-ranked Mater Dei.
