The popular run-swim event is wrapping up its 23rd season, and race organizer Jake Clinton is looking to break the all-time record – set back in 1989 – of 711 competitors in the 5k run.

Winners can pick up their passes tomorrow at the registration table starting at 5:30 p.m. The ocean swim begins at 6:15 with the 5k run starting 10 minutes later in Shoreline Park. Refreshments, music, and food are waiting for competitors after the friendly competition.

A drawing for two winners will take place Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. on Facebook. In order to qualify for the drawing, all you need to do is put a thumbs up or a comment on Presidio Sports’ status update regarding this contest. Current Presidio FB fans are already eligible to participate, while new fans will then be able to access updates on the Santa Barbara sports scene.
