Rottman-Christiaansen win 18s title at CBVA youth tourney

With her regular partner attending team tryouts at Dos Pueblos, Dani Rottman joined forces with Michael Christiaansen of Tucson,  Ariz., and won the girls 18-under division title at the Tuesday California Beach Volleyball Association Youth Tournament at East Beach.

Rottman-Christiaansen defeated Allie Easton (Oxnard) and Allia Knight (Ventura) in the final.

In the girls 16-under division, Courtney Birkett (Newbury Park) and Hannah Holmes (Northridge) beat Madeleine Dilfer (Saratoga) and Jenna Belton (Aptos) in the final.

The girls 14s final was won by Kylie Miller (Rancho Cucamonga) and Sedona Hanson (Wrightwood) over Santa Barbara’s Emily Allen-Anika Wilson.

The Bay Area team of Jacquelin Disanto (Portola Valley) and Jessica Cusi (Pacifica) captured the girls 12s title over Linnea Skinner and Eden Mostajo of Arroyo Grande.

The Yoshimoto brothers, Evan and Owen, of Silver Strand Beach in Oxnard won the 18s title for the third straight week. They defeated Santa Barbara’s Holden Ploch-Alex Biedul of Santa Barbara for third time in the final.

Oliver Martin (Woodland Hills)-Jonah Seif (Thousand Oaks) won the boys 16s by defeating Santa Barbara’s Quinlan Dougherty-Hart Pitcher.

The Santa Barbara team of Bolden Brace-Scott Everman defeated Kai Thordarson (Camarillo) and Matt Yoshimoto (Oxnard) in the boys 14s final.

The 12s final was won by Will Fisher-Julien Maes of Santa Barbara. They defeated Nate Rogers (Solvang) and Dustin Gregg (Olivios).
