Dos Pueblos opened its girls golf season in the heat of the Santa Clarita Valley and on a long TPC Valencia course.
The Chargers, who started two freshmen, made a good showing in a 262-276 loss against Valencia on Tuesday.
Returning player Bekah Beveridge and Hanna Nolan each shot 49s for the DP.
“It was a good outing,” co-coach Dan Cboi said. “We got out of it what we wanted to get out of it. It was long, hot day and (the players) did well.”
Dos Pueblos hosts Righetti on Thursday at Glen Annie GC.
