Dani Rottman sweeps Tuesday youth tournaments

In a pair of all-local finals, the teams of Katie-Spieler-Dani Rottman and Emily Allen-Anika Wilson prevailed in the last California Beach Volleyball Association Youth Tournament of the season on Tuesday at East Beach.

Allen-Wilson captured the Girls 14-Under Division by beating Emily’s sister Chloe Allen and Andie DeWerd (Los Olivos) in the final.

Spieler-Rottman won the Girls 18s for the fourth time, and Rottman  was the Tuesday Tournament Queen as she won all five events. They defeated Kira Schleich and Remi Pulice in the final event.

The local team of Clare Holehouse and Andie O’Donnell beat Makenzie Neilan (Oxnard) and Delaney Shaw (Ventura) for the Girls 16 title.

The 12-under title went to Ventura’s Kobie Jimenez and Samantha Slater over Santa Barbara’s Adyson Colburn and Liana Tacconelli.

For the boys, Owen and Evan Yoshimoto of Oxnard won their fourth 18s title of summer, beating Eric Ensing (Valencia) and Jonah Seif (Thousand Oaks).

Santa Barbarans Connor Dougherty-Austin Hudgens defeated Victor Viveros-Patrick Baguinon of Camarillo for the 16s tournament title. Dougherty’s older brother, Quinlan, won last week’s 16s division.

Craig Lamb (Westlake Village) and Adrish Anand (Newbury Park) took the 14s crown, beating Santa Barbara’s Bolden Brace/Scott Everman  in the final.

In the 12-under final, Anthony Panetta-Dustin Gregg defeated Matt Suh-Will Rottman for top honors.
