Requejo in U.S. Under-15 National Team camp

Carpinteria soccer standout Johnny Requejo is training with the U.S. Under-15 National Team at the Home Depot Center in Carson.

Requejo was one of 48 players invited to the week-long came, which will include scrimmages against local club teams.

This is the first time the U15s have been together since a trip to Croatia in early May. Requejo was part of the group that traveled to Europe.

Carpinteria High coach Daniel Torres said the players at the HDC camp are vying for spots in the U.S. residency camp for the next U-17 World Cup cycle.

Requejo has been in the national player pool at the U-14 and U-15 levels.
