Stealth erupt in playoffs, romp to Las Virgenes tourney title

The So Cal Stealth, a Pony All-Star baseball team from Santa Ynez, won the 14-under division championship at the Las Virgenes Tournament in Agoura.

The Stealth overcame a 1-1 start in pool play and won their final three games of the tournament by a 38-6 margin, including a 13-3 rout of West Hills in the championship game on Monday night.

Aidan Williams was monster at the plate for the Stealth, going 11-for-15 with two doubles, a triple and a solo homer in five games. Nolan Tooley also had a huge tournament with 11 hits.

Jacob Pritchard drove in a team-high eight runs and hit three homers. Cole Atelian also homered three times.

On the mound, Tooley, Nathan Kim and Williams picked up wins in the quarterfinals, semifinals and final, respectively.

The Stealth are back in action next weekend at the Cal Crush Tournament in Ventura, their final tune-up before beginning Pony All-Star play in the Southern California-North District Tournament in Santa Clarita on the Fourth of July weekend.

Members of the Stealth are: Cole Atelian, Daniel Buratto, R.J. Cordeiro, Nathan Kim, Trevor Moropoulos, Jacob Pritchard, Parker Rozenburg, Ryan Teixeira, Patrick Thomas, Nolan Tooley, David Valles and Aidan Williams. The team is managed by Troy Pritchard and coached by Brian Cordeiro, Steve Cummings, and Steve Buratto.
