Local teams work on passing attacks, lineman strength

It’s never too early to start thinking about high school football season.

Local schools Bishop Diego, San Marcos and Dos Pueblos worked on their passing offenses and defenses Saturday at a passing league tournament and lineman challenge at Bishop’s field.

The local schools were joined by Leuzinger, Pioneer Valley and Mission Prep in the round-robin competition.

Bishop Diego has returning starter Nolan Tisdale running the offense, while San Marcos and Dos Pueblos are testing out new quarterbacks.

Bishop’s Sam Kwock made a spectacular diving catch for a touchdown against San Marcos.

The linemen also got in some healthy competition with events like weight lifting, blocking sled push and tractor-tire lift relay.
