Lampe, Dougherty qualify for Junior Nationals

Local wrestlers Chad Lampe and Howie Dougherty found success for Anacondas Wrestling Club at the California State Tournament, with Lampe qualifying to represent California at Junior Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota this July.

Dougherty took first place in Schoolboy Greco-Roman (12 and 13 year olds).

Lampe was third in the Cadet division amongst 14 and 15 year olds. He reeled off 6 straight wins and lost in his pool finals. He beat the second-place finisher in the other pool to secure third place.

The tournament was in Fresno on the weekend of April 29.
