Freshman Jared Madison of Dos Pueblos pulled out a tough first-round win over Miles Seemann of Santa Ynez before being ousted in the second round of the CIF Individual Regional Tournament.
Madison played smart and stayed consistent to defeat Seemann 6-1, 6-4. He then fell to Brett Buford of Calabasas, 6-3, 6-1.
“Madison had to battle Buford’s unorthodox shots and unusual style of play,” said DP coach Liz Frech. “Madison did what he could do but still went down to defeat.”
